Occupational Therapy Services

Oakview Medical Care Facility is proud to employ a dedicated on-site Occupational Therapist to support residents in regaining independence and improving quality of life.

Occupational Therapy involves the therapeutic use of purposeful, goal-directed activities to evaluate and treat individuals experiencing limitations due to illness, injury, or disability. These limitations may affect the ability to perform essential daily tasks and participate fully in life roles.

At Oakview, our Occupational Therapy program focuses on helping residents relearn self-care skills—such as dressing, bathing, and grooming—particularly after events such as hip surgery, stroke, or serious illness. Each therapy plan is customized to meet the unique rehabilitation needs and goals of the individual, with progress paced appropriately for optimal recovery.

Many residents successfully regain the skills necessary for independent living and are able to return home upon completion of their therapy program.
