Employment at Oakview

Our primary mission is to provide quality care to our residents. Each staff member and department are vitally important in enabling the facility to meet its mission requirements. Only through cooperation, understanding and continuing effort can the Facility maintain the necessary standards needed to accomplish our primary mission – Quality Resident Care.

Those interested in employment at Oakview Medical Care Facility may download an application or pick one up from our business office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Fill it out, save it and e-mail it to KRodell@oakviewmcf.com or print it and bring it in to our office. They may be faxed, scanned and emailed or dropped off in person. All forms plus the application must be submitted to be considered for employment.

Applications are returned to the facility and interviews with the appropriate departmental supervisor are scheduled. Facility policy requires a criminal background check. Information on all applications is to be correct and to the best of the applicant’s knowledge. Once considered for a position, you must pass a routine physical examination, verifying you are physically capable of completing the employment tasks for which you will be hired. Applicants who are applying for positions in nursing must have a current Michigan license (LPNs and RNs) or a current Michigan Nursing Assistant certification.  We appreciate our nursing staff and realize that on any given day, and in every situation, their dedication to our residents and their families is a shining example of kindness and compassion that comes from the heart.

Staff Development Coordinator – Oakview Medical Care Facility has an opening for a Staff Development Coordinator that will develop, implement, and maintain an effective training program for all new and existing staff, contracted staff, and volunteers, consistent with their expected roles.  This position will also support nursing staff performance in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.  The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm in learning new things and teaching others. Must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience and be computer proficient. 1 year experience in long-term care preferred.  Must be able to communicate effectively and work closely with nursing administration and other facility disciplines. Qualified candidates will hold a current Michigan RN License. Starting wage based on experience.  Resume and application required.

Resident Assistant – (RA) an RA will help create a pleasant environment for Oakview residents. An RA will be expected to provide resident related assistance while working with the care team to assist with non-nursing duties. Full time, part-time and pool positions on 1st and 2nd shift are available with every other weekend off.

CNA – Full-Time, Part-Time, and Pool positions for 2nd and 3rd shifts; must hold a current Michigan CNA Certificate.

RN and LPN – Oakview Medical Care Facility is currently accepting applications for full time, part time and pool Registered Nurses on all shifts.

Cook – We have an immediate opening for Full time Cook. Ability to work well with others in a close environment, enjoy working with the elderly and perform a variety of tasks in accordance with current federal and state regulations. Flexibility is a must.

Housekeeper – Full-time.  

Food Service Worker – Full-time, Food Service Worker. Part-time, and pool available as well.  Ability to work well with others in a close environment, enjoy working with the elderly and perform a variety of tasks in accordance with current federal and state regulations. Flexibility is a must.

Physical Therapist, (PRN) – Licensed Physical Therapist.
